The Hatfield House works like the best kind of dorm. You rent a private furnished bedroom with its own keypad lock, and share the kitchen, bathroom, and living room of your apartment with one to three housemates — most of them fellow Hobart welding students.

Rent covers everything: all utilities, Wi-Fi, TVs, furniture, and the on-site laundry room. There are no utility accounts to open, no furniture to haul up the stairs, and no surprise bills. The whole building was remodeled top to bottom in 2024, so every room feels brand new inside a landmark 1841 shell.

    See the building in person, or get a video walkthrough if you're moving to Troy from out of state.

  3. Move in with your bags

    Sign, get your keypad code, and you're home. Furniture, utilities, Wi-Fi, and laundry are already handled.
